Mission

In an exploration of the sports design industry, I wanted to embark on the creation of elements typically seen in a social media campaign for an NBA team. Teams use social media to drive engagement with their fans in many ways, with entire campaigns to create visual consistence and a theme for each season.

Outcome

The outcome was a cohesive, dynamic campaign with a wide variety of graphics for many different situations that may arise throughout an 82-game NBA season.

Challenge

In the dynamic and ever-changing landscape of the NBA season, flexibility and adaptability are crucial skills for success. To ensure that content creation stays on track, it is essential to anticipate the graphics that the team may require and plan accordingly. This proactive approach enables teams to stay relevant and deliver high-quality content that meets the needs of their audience in a timely and efficient manner. By staying agile and embracing the challenges of the NBA season, teams can position themselves for success and stand out in an increasingly competitive landscape.

Transformation

The Houston Rockets’ close association with NASA and space makes them a unique and intriguing team, but their past playoff struggles provided an opportunity to build a new theme that could resonate with fans. The “Go Beyond” theme perfectly captures both the team’s connection to space exploration and their determination to exceed expectations in the upcoming season. By embracing their unique identity, the Rockets were presented as a team with a clear sense of purpose and ambition.
